Immersive Dance Performance
An interactive installation part of the contemporary ballet, conceptualised and choreographed by Valentina Zatevalneva as her diploma project. The interactive piece is conceptualised as a responsive stage element in the shape of a waterfall. Two sheer textile pieces were hidden in the stage ceiling, and using a Kabuki Drop were released mid-performance. With projection mapping a particle system, would be casted onto the textiles. Furthermore, the dancer’s movements were tracked with a depth camera, affecting the particles behind her.
The ballet was perfomed on three evenings at Theaterhaus Gessnerallee on April and May 2026.
