The Better Burger

A Website on Meat Consumption & Protein Alternatives

Researched, designed, and built a website that compares meat consumption with new protein alternatives using infographics.

The brief was to design a website about a challenge Europe is facing, starting from Arte’s documentary series Europe at a Crossroads. We chose agriculture and narrowed it down to meat alternatives. Using the example of a 100 g patty, the website compares beef, pork, chicken, soy, insect and in-vitro protein.

Visitors first calculate how much protein they need, then follow each patty through the factory, from production to its environmental impact, and finally order three burgers to compare their nutritional value and cost. At the end, they see how their choice compares to other Europeans, and decide which is their better burger.
